“ Big fluffy pancakes! We've always enjoyed our breakfast, lunch, or dinner at this restaurant, no matter what we've ordered. ”
“ This is a big surprise in a little town! We were invited out to this cute little restaurant by the cook, Royce. He said he would make peanut butter pie. So, a group of us decided to show up on Bigfoot Tuesday! It was great. First of all, there is ample parking, with perfectly located handicap parking near the door. The outside of the building is adorable, cute, clean, and inviting. Inside is small, with booths, and a little grocery area for all your camping emergencies. We decided to sit outside under the large canopy where there are several tables and picnic tables. Thankfully, it was a warm, sunny June day, but even if it rained, there would be no problem as the canopy is there for protection. There were 7 of us and we were very comfortable. We all ordered sandwiches and fries. The sandwiches were delicious and filling, and note that the French Dip was out of this world. I would like to point out that the fries were crinkle cut, crispy, and well salted. I don't usually eat the fries, but these were so good I snacked on my daughters. We all ordered a slice of pie and was delighted by the homemade authenticity and full of flavor, large slice of yummiest peanut butter pie that you can ask for. Rich, not too sweet, and drizzled in chocolate. Fantastic meal. The bill was a nice surprise as well. With drinks, two people can get away with spending around 10 a person, which is better than some fast food restaurants these days!! Service was fast, correct, and pleasant. Our server was sweet, and she knew how to handle a group of boisterous old farts. All in all, it was a 5 star experience. Like I said, a big surprise in a little town surrounded by beauty. Highly recommend. ”

“ Everything about this place is a 5 star experience. Amazing food, with even more amazing people running the place. The heart and soul of the mom and pop shop is alive and well in the Half-way cafe. Side note: I'm not sure what kind of magic ya'll are putting in the coffee, but keep it up. I've never been one for black coffee or lightly creamed coffee, but I thoroughly enjoyed all 3 cups. Truly the best decision I made on such a long drive. If you see this, give my best wishes to your wife! I wish her a speedy recovery. ”

“ I didn't get a chance to eat during my short visit.. but I did see the Yummy Pastries and things that were freshly delivered that morning. I did get to experience a rare and nearly extinct form of common decency though. To know that other men exist, not unlike my father, who can step up to the plate and help a person problem solve a solution, is so encouraging. I'm not often able to drive that direction, but if I ever do, I am going to certainly stop in there and have a meal!! I'll be sending that rain check, before my next visit! Thank you so much! “ The perfect place to stop on your way to the coast— truly “halfway” between Eugene and Florence. My family stopped to grab a few snacks and stretch legs but ended up staying because they had a cozy outdoor picnic area and nice looking menu. Friendly service, clean restroom, variety of tasty food, and a few shelves with roadtrip essentials. Will return! ”
